Nana's Addo statue destroyed
The Statue which was Unveiled on November 6, 2024, to honor former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, located at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi, has been destroyed by Unidentified individuals.

The statue was unveiled to honor the former president’s contributions during his tenure, and it received repairs in December 2024 after suffering unwarranted damage by unidentified individuals.

Information reaching us is that the statue has again seen another destruction at about 1:30 am on January 13, 2025.

Despite its restoration, the statue has remained a symbol of contention in the community. Questions have been raised about its appropriateness and timing, particularly in light of other pressing developmental needs.
